What we collect
When you book a demo. The form asks for your name, your work email, your shop’s website, roughly how many products you sell and which competitors you would like to follow. We also record which language you used the page in, so we can answer in it. Name and email are required, because without them we cannot reply; everything else is optional.
When we write to each other. If you reply to our emails, we keep that correspondence.
To stop abuse of the form. When you send the form, our server holds your IP address in memory for 10 minutes and the email address you entered for 24 hours, only to count how many requests come from one place or go to one inbox. Neither is written to disk, and both are gone when the server restarts. The form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells people from bots: when you scroll to the form, your browser loads it from Cloudflare, and Cloudflare checks technical signals such as your IP address, browser and device. Usually you see nothing; sometimes it asks you to tick a box. When you send the form, our server asks Cloudflare whether the check passed.
Server logs. Like any website, the server our site runs on may record technical data about each request (IP address, time, page requested, browser). These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting and deleted after a short period.
Visit statistics, only if you allow them. When you first open the site, a banner asks whether
we may use Google Analytics. Until you accept, Google’s script isn’t loaded and nothing is sent to
Google. If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_…, kept for up to a year)
to recognise your browser on later visits, and records which pages you open, how far you scroll the
home page and blog posts, which sections of the home page you reach, which “Book a demo” buttons and
questions in the FAQ you click, whether you start and send the demo form and whether it shows an
error (not what you wrote in it), and technical data such as your browser, device type, approximate location (country and city)
and the site that sent you. Google doesn’t store your IP address in Analytics. We don’t use Google
signals or advertising features, so this data isn’t linked to your Google account or used for ads.
Your answer is saved in your browser (local storage) for a year. You can change it any time with
Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw, we delete the cookies.
What we don’t do. Apart from Google Analytics, if you allow it, and Cloudflare Turnstile at the demo form (above), this website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: fonts and images are served from our own server. It runs no advertising or tracking scripts. If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) and is never sent to us.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your request and prepare your demo, including looking up the competitors you named: this is a step you asked for before possibly entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To send you a confirmation that we received your request, and to protect the form from spam and abuse: our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To see how the website is used (visit statistics): your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), and Art. 43(4) of the Croatian Electronic Communications Act for the cookies). You can withdraw it at any time; that doesn’t affect what was collected before.
We don’t use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, we don’t add you to a newsletter and we never sell your data.
Who receives it
Your request is read by the Priceron team. To run the website we use providers who process data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28):
- Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany
- Email delivery: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany
- Delivering the website and protecting the form: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Every visit passes through Cloudflare’s network, which also runs Turnstile on the demo form. Cloudflare may process this data in the USA; Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Visit statistics (only if you accept): Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may process this data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we only allow it where the European Commission has found the country’s protection adequate, or under the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep a demo request and our correspondence for up to 12 months after our last contact, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. If your company becomes a customer, we keep it for as long as the customer relationship and the law require. Abuse-prevention data is kept for the minutes and hours described above. Google Analytics keeps visit statistics for 14 months, then deletes them.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is wrong, or erased;
- restrict how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format (portability);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
Write to [email protected]. We will answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Croatian data protection authority: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr, or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top.
